PAYMENTS and Cancellations:

If booked via Airbnb or VRBO payments have already been taken care of. If booked through Mountain Goat Lodge, we will run your credit card the day you arrive and send a receipt by email.
»We have two cancellation policies available: 1) Worry Free Bookings - which you may opt into at the time of booking. This option gives you 100% refund of your deposit if you have a qualifying circumstance. If you are unable to attend your booking due to unforeseen circumstances, and can provide evidence as listed in the terms and conditions, you may be entitled to a full refund.
2) If you choose not to use our Worry Free Booking option, Mountain Goat Lodge has a seven day cancellation policy. We charge a $30 cancel fee even if 7 day notice has been given. **Please note: Refunds to your account may take up to 10 business days depending on your banks processing policies. Cancellations made after 12:00 PM 7 days prior to arrival are subject to 100% cost of stay penalty. This property makes no refunds for no shows. If your travel plans are uncertain, we suggest you opt into Worry Free Bookings.
ITEMS LEFT BEHIND: We are not responsible for items left behind in the unit. Please contact us and pay for postage and we will make every attempt to find your item and ship it to you through USPS.

OUR CHILDREN POLICY:
Children 12 months and under are free.

OUR PET POLICY at Mountain Goat Lodge:
Dogs are provided with dog beds, bowls and biscuits.
Dogs can stay inside your room alone as long as YOU ARE ON OUR PROPERTY.
Dogs need to be well behaved, socialized to other dogs, and with a minimum of barking.
Any room damages caused by your pet will be assessed and charged to your credit card.
While we love and tolerate most all dogs, we reserve the right to insist that a local boarding kennel if excessive disturbances occur.
We have a half-acre off-leash dog park for your pet's enjoyment. It is located in front of our parking lot, and is fully fenced.
You will find waste-removal site with bags, and water. Please clean up after your pet.
If your dog needs to be on the bed, please bring a blanket or sheet to cover our bed.
No dogs are permitted near the chicken coop or near the goats.
LODGE guest dogs are charged $30 per day per dog with 150.00 maximum per stay.
TRAILER AND CAMPER dogs are charged $30 charge per dog per stay.
TIPI guest dogs are free.

Our llamas guard the goats and will not tolerate any dogs near the goats.

IMPORTANT WEATHER POLICY:
While we would never insist on risking your safety to get here, COLORADO does get it's share of winter weather. Our cancellation policy will be upheld UNLESS the Department of Transportation closes the routes between your starting point and our town. We will check the DOT website and keep abreast of the latest road closures. Generally speaking HWY 285 and HWY 50 are always open and snowplowed constantly during the winter. Please use caution, drive slowly, we recommend a 4-wheel drive, heavier vehicle to come through the mountain passes. Our lodge is just a bit off the highway so access is never a problem.
